| Upcoming Bank Holidays
A reminder that on Monday 8th May 2023 there will be an additional bank holiday in respect of His Majesty’s Coronation.
That will make 5 bank holidays coming up over the next 2 months:
- 7th April (Good Friday)
- 10th April (Easter Monday)
- 1st May (Early May Bank Holiday)
- 8th May (King Charles’ Coronation)
- 29th May (Spring Bank Holiday)
Most employers will usually include the 8 normal bank holidays in their employee’s normal holiday entitlement but whether or not the additional day for the Coronation needs to be given and paid will depend on what each employee’s contract says. Please seek advice on your own contract if you are unsure. |
